What an exciting moment! At our employee Christmas party, we were joined by our friends from Chick-fil-A, who announced that Orange County Rescue Mission had been chosen as a $200,000 grantee of their True Inspiration Award!
Thank you, Chick-fil-A, for the award and for being a corporation that invests generously in communities throughout our country.

What makes a Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award especially rewarding is that it reflects not only on our work but also requires support from our community.
We express our gratitude to:
- The Orange County Chick-fil-A restaurants that encouraged their customers to vote for Orange County Rescue Mission.
- The Angels Baseball Foundation, which helped spread the word about voting for the Rescue Mission at every home game in September.
- The Chick-fil-A customers who voted for us.
Their efforts to encourage people to vote for us brought in the highest votes in the Western Region, which helped to ensure that we were chosen for a grant.
We are incredibly grateful for Chick-fil-A operators Craig Takata (University Center Irvine location), who nominated us this year for a True Inspiration Award, Peter Brakke (17th at Tustin location), and Adam Goodman (The District location). These men worked so diligently to spotlight the work of the Rescue Mission, and have invested in the vision of ending homelessness one life at a time over many years with food donations for students, event support, and sharing about the Rescue Mission with their customers.
In my work leading Orange County Rescue Mission, it is gratifying to experience other community leaders and members joining our mission of ministering the love of Jesus Christ to the least, the last, and the lost.
Thank you, Friends!
