Employee of The Month

Trey Ames
October, 2025

Title/brief description of the position.

As the Lead Case Manager, I work directly with the Sophomore men, walking alongside them as they grow in their faith and personal development. In this phase, we focus on many of the tangible aspects of their progress — obtaining driver’s licenses, securing social security cards, addressing legal matters, and working through family concerns — all in preparation for the next stage of the program. I also lead the ACEs group on Mondays and our Men’s Group on Thursdays, where we engage with impactful sermons or testimonies and process them together as a community.

In my leadership role, I help ensure our team operates smoothly by facilitating groups as needed, creating schedules, assisting with other case managers’ caseloads, and remaining available to support both the Village of Hope Manager, Michelle Arambula, and our Chief Ministry Officer, Derrick Burton.

How long  have you worked at OCRM?

2 years as of 10/31/25

What is your favorite thing about working at OCRM?

I love having the opportunity to share Jesus with others and to walk alongside men as they grow in their relationship with Him. It’s a blessing to work alongside fellow believers who share the same passion and commitment to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

Seeing the students transform throughout the program—growing from phase to phase and maturing in their faith and character—is an incredible blessing to witness and be a part of.

What is your favorite/most helpful employee benefit?

We are truly well cared for here—blessed with generous time off, including holidays and quarterly rest days that often provide much-needed spiritual renewal. Our insurance benefits are excellent, and overall, we have so much to be grateful for as employees of the Orange County Rescue Mission.
