I had the privilege to view a sneak preview with the producers of Paramount’s upcoming movie, Same Kind of Different as Me last Wednesday. Much of the movie is set in a rescue mission in Fort Worth, Texas. Based on the New York Times bestselling book, this movie is about how a broken marriage rediscovered love by serving society’s outcasts (or homeless). How an oppressed black man overcame loss, hatred, murder, and homelessness to find trust and love across racial lines. How a wounded adult son found a path toward forgiving an alcoholic father. Throughout the film, the viewer is taken on an emotionally painful journey that ultimately leads to hope and healing by serving others.
