As we await the arrival of spring, we also eagerly await the re-launch of Laurel House within the next month. Springtime is a season of renewal, rebirth, hope and growth which perfectly coincides with all that we seek to achieve at Laurel House for the lost and broken teen girls who come through our doors.
Laurel House has been successfully providing shelter, care and unconditional love to homeless and runaway teen girls for 30 years. Not only do we provide for their physical needs in regards to housing, clothing and food, but we also empower, equip and nurture them toward success.
By creating a new, beautiful home environment, Laurel House is providing a safe, inspirational, thriving atmosphere where these girls can experience renewal, rebirth, hope and growth. We want to show these young ladies they are not a product of their circumstances, and so they can rise above their past and plan for a brighter future.
We are closing in on the final touches of our renovations at the Laurel House home. Here are a few pictures of the work being performed.
I would like to thank the following for helping us through this stage of the remodel and rehabilitation of Laurel House: Roberta & Howard Ahmanson, the Ahmanson Foundation, our Builder Captains Steve Mohler & Mark Conzelman, Cory Keith of Joyce Bright Interiors, Donna & Steve Giddings, and Jason Bird and the team at the Orange County Rescue Mission.
We need your help. We need to raise $9,500 to purchase the furnishings and equipment as we prepare to open the home. Please contact Anna Song at 714-247-4377 or at Anna.Song@LaurelHouse.org.
Please join us in our efforts to keep teen girls off the streets and safe from human trafficking, gang involvement and a life of drug and alcohol dependency. Celebrate new life at Laurel House and new beginnings in the lives of runaway and homeless teen girls.
