Our Mission is to minister the Love of Jesus Christ to the Least, the Last, and the Lost of our community through the provision of assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, health care and independent living communities.

While our Mission seems simple and straight forward, I would like to take a deeper look at it through different lenses.

  1. When we say that we minister the love of Jesus Christ it means we share God’s love to those who might receive a direct service from us or those who we might refer to another ministry or service provider.  This expression of love comes from each of us no matter what our role is in this ministry.
  2. You might ask who are the least, the last, and the lost?  Generally, they are the poor, the homeless, the hurting, and the hungry.  In addition, we extend our Mission to our donors, volunteers, ministry partners, government and institutional stakeholders.  Our goal is to regularly minister to the hearts of each of these people groups in a strategic and purposeful way.
  3. It is incumbent of us to share the stories of those that we have ministered to and share what Jesus Christ has done in their lives.  These stories serve as a strong and bright “Light unto the World” that is unhidden.

Scripture Reference: James 1:27 “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
