Keith thinks about her every day.
The promising wife he once loved every waking moment of his life. And how they had planned to move to Colorado and start an exciting new chapter in their lives, far away from the drug lifestyle that had dogged them for years.

Then tragedy struck.

Keith’s wife accidentally stepped out into the street in front of a passing motorist and was struck and killed. It’s a memory that still haunts Keith every day as he tries to remain strong for the sake of his young daughter who’s now left without her mother.

“I always thought drugs would make me happy. Now I know there’s no other way to get through life except through Jesus,” Keith says, fighting back the tears.

Since coming to the Rescue Mission, Keith has been praying to remain clean and sober. To raise his daughter in such a way that “she’ll have respect for herself and not get involved in drugs like I did.” And learn what it means to be a true Christian, not merely reading the Bible but living out her faith.
