They’ve not only helped me get back on my feet but they also helped me get my smile back.

I came to the Rescue Mission because I was about to be homeless. I was 60-years old and I couldn’t get a job. Everyone here is so nice and supportive. I also really believe in the Lord and this is a place that shares my beliefs. They also changed my life by talking me into getting my teeth fixed at the Hurtt Family Health Clinic.

About 10 years ago, my gums wouldn’t hold my teeth anymore and I had a procedure done where I had to get all my teeth pulled. I was a service manager at a forklift company and I knew I couldn’t go into work without any teeth, but they promised that the dentures would look just like my real teeth.

My first set of dentures broke. The second set was sunk in so far that when I smiled, it still looked like I was toothless. You could never tell that I had teeth. But I figured it was okay because I could eat with them, so I just let it go.

When I went into the Village of Hope and I found out that I could get a refit, I was so happy. When I first got the new dentures, they didn’t fit right, but the staff at the Hurtt Family Health Clinic wanted to be sure that this set would be one that I could be proud of.

So they readjusted and re-measured and they handled everything just great. I am very grateful. The first time I had the procedure done, I went through a lot of pain. This time, there wasn’t nearly as much. I couldn’t ask for a better set of teeth and everyone says they look so real. The Rescue Mission and the Hurtt Clinic are awesome. They’ve not only helped me get back on my feet but they also helped me get my smile back.
