Before New Orleans was hosting Sunday’s big game, the Tustin Community Foundation was hosting its big game. On Saturday, more than 40 teams played in the Paper Football X games, a popular annual fundraiser supporting the community’s schools and nonprofit organizations. The field of play is a tabletop and the ball a triangular disc that is flicked toward tiny goalposts. In just a few hours a regular season, playoffs and a championship game were played in the Columbus Tustin Activity Center. The teams are a variety of community groups that score sponsorships to help them fundraise.
