The Supervisor’s Scoop: Latest Third District News from Supervisor Don Wagner

I was deeply honored to deliver the keynote address at the Orange County Rescue Mission’s graduation ceremony, held at the Village of Hope, celebrating the remarkable achievements of ten individuals who have overcome homelessness. That’s me pictured with Bryan Crain, President of the Orange County Rescue Mission, who presented me with an actual longsword so that I would continue to be a warrior for their organization. I was profoundly moved by the powerful stories shared by the graduates, detailing the desperate challenges they once faced and the strength they demonstrated to overcome them. Approximately 85% of people who have completed the Orange County Rescue Mission’s two-year program have remained both clean and employed to-date since 2018. Orange County Rescue Mission is a faith-based, life-transformation program that provides on-campus housing, basic needs, and comprehensive services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
