Urgent Volunteer Needs

Listed below are some unique volunteer positions. These are great opportunities to use your skills to serve others!

Event Photographers & Videographers

Calling all photographers & videographers…or those that are aspiring to be! We are in need of multiple photographers for our upcoming events at Village of Hope. This is a great opportunity to use your unique talents to serve a special cause. This is also an opportunity for aspiring photographers to build their resume with a credible organization and put their photography skills to practice, including students in photography clubs that need community service hours.
Days and shift times will vary.

Chili Van Drivers

We are in need of Chili Van Drivers at our Village of Hope location. Here is a word from our new Outreach Coordinator: “Orange County Rescue Mission is dedicated to reaching the Least, the Last and the Lost of our community, and one way we are able to do that is through our Chili Van. This van provides thousands of hot meals every month to those who are homeless and in need. In order to sustain this, we are in need of drivers. Alongside our current residents, these drivers would serve our chili and provide hope to the many in need. If you are able, we would love to have you join us.” – Joseph De Luca, Outreach Care Coordinator. Days and shift times will vary.

Food Services in the Kitchen

We are looking for volunteers to help in our kitchen at the Village of Hope in the afternoons. Responsibilities may include prepping food, sorting food, cleaning and organizing. The minimum age to volunteer in the kitchen is 13, and anyone under 16 would need adult supervision. Weekday shifts from 1:30-4:30pm (especially Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays).

Grocery Rescue Driver(s)

The Village of Hope program serves daily meals to homeless men, women, and children. Meals are supplied through a combination of donations and purchased food; they are prepared in our kitchen by volunteers, residents, and supervised by full time kitchen staff. We are in need of a male driver to assist in donation pick-ups from our vendors during the following days and times: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 8:30am-1:00pm, and Saturdays from 8:00-10:00am.

Barista Volunteer for Restoration Roasters

We are looking for volunteers at Restoration Roasters who have a love for coffee and the art behind making the perfect cup! As a volunteer at Restoration, you get hands-on experience with coffee from all over the world. You gain knowledge and insight into the process behind what we do. You get to work with a great group of individuals who share this passion, along with working in a state of the art facility (equipped with the best coffee equipment known in the industry). This position includes: cash handling, customer service, and light cleaning. Volunteers should have a valid Food Handlers Permit registered with Riverside County (as the facility is located in Corona). Monday through Saturday shifts: 6:30am-12:00pm, 12:00-4:30pm, and 4:30-9:30pm.

House of Hope Volunteer House Manager (Female Volunteer Only)

House of Hope is a transitional program for working women and their children. The Volunteer House Manager takes care of the needs of the residents and the house, in the absence of the Facility Manager. This includes, but is not limited to:
– Listening to, advising, and praying with the women
– Breathalyzing  women as they come home
– Accepting donations and deliveries
– Doing room checks and paperwork

The Volunteer House Manager hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Days and arrival time can be flexible.
