Donating food for our traditional Thanksgiving meal at the Rescue Mission is a wonderful way to show your thankfulness!
With the help of volunteers and donors, homeless men, women, veterans, and children enjoy a warm, family-style meal on Thanksgiving Day. They are so thankful to have this special meal!
Below are some of the items we need to prepare the meal. But remember, we serve over 119,000 meals in the month of November alone! All of your food donations will be put to good use throughout all of our Rescue Mission programs, or distributed to families in need with our food box program.

Have fun with a Thanksgiving Food Donation Drive!
Donation drives are a great way to gather your friends and family to work together for a common cause! We appreciate you choosing Orange County Rescue Mission, and we want to make this simple for you.
Get Organized
Decide whether you will collect and drop off your donations as a group, or individually. Utilize all of your communication options, like social media and contact lists, to spread the word. If you want to get the word out among your neighbors, lawn signs work well and can be printed at most local print shops and major office supply chains.
Collections for Organization-wide Donation Drives
Places of work, churches, schools, clubs, or any gathering with a physical location can use our 50-gallon donation barrels to collect non-perishable items. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator (see below) to coordinate the use of the barrels.
Next Steps
Download the flyer above, and print it, add it to an email, or create an image for social media.
If you prefer to create your own print or digital promotions, you can use the logo below. We just ask that you please do not change the logo in any way, and that you refer to us as Orange County Rescue Mission.
