Summer To Remember Program Employment Opportunities

(Part-Time, Seasonal)

  1. PACE Summer Learning Camp Teachers – $19.50 per hr (3 weeks in July)

The three Learning Camp Teacher positions will work in collaboration with Concordia University’s onsite tutoring program, present, facilitate and supervise and teach academic skills and school readiness to The Village of Hope resident population pre-school through 8th grade. Teaching degree required and 6 months of teaching experience.

  1. PACE Summer Learning Camp Assistant Teachers – $12 per hr (3 weeks in July)

The two Learning Camp Teacher Assistant positions will work in collaboration with Concordia University’s onsite tutoring program, assist with teaching of academic skills and school readiness to The Village of Hope resident population Kindergarten through 8th grade. Teaching degree preferred but not required with 6 months of teaching assistant experience. This position works four hours a day for 3 weeks in July.

  • PACE Summer Afternoon Counselors – $12 per hr (June – August)

These three positions will supervise resident population K- 8th grade at The Village of Hope as they participate in the afternoon summer programs. These positions will also coordinate with volunteer groups and partner organizations as they also serve at the VOH. This position requires a High School Diploma with 3 to 6 months of working experience with children in a recreation or daycare setting. This position works 4 hour shifts daily from the beginning of June to the middle of August 2019.

  1. PACE Summer Afternoon Lead Counselors – $14 per hr (June – August)

This position will work in collaboration with Concordia University’s onsite tutoring program, present, facilitate and supervise and teach academic skills and school readiness to The Village of Hope resident population pre-school through 8th grade. This position requires a High School Diploma with 6 months of working experience with children in a recreation or daycare setting (preferably in a supervisor position). This position works 4 hour shifts daily from the Beginning of June to the middle of August 2019.

All Positions Require:

  • A personal relationship with Jesus, good working knowledge of the Bible, signed acknowledgment of the Statement of Faith.
  • The ability to act and think promptly and professionally.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated, flexible and maintain confidential information as appropriate.
  • Maintain First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
  • Maintain membership in good standing status at a local Bible-believing church.
  • Christ-centered behavior, i.e., treating people with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity at all times.
  • Regular timely attendance.
  • Complete background check and physical.
