The Village of Hope program serves daily meals to homeless men, women, and children. Meals are supplied through a combination of donations and purchased food; they are prepared in our kitchen by volunteers, clients, and supervised by full time kitchen staff.
We also serve meals through outreach programs such as the Mobile Feeding Program. Our two ‘Chili Vans’ visit sites where chronically homeless individuals are known to gather. The program serves an average of 2,900 meals of freshly-made chili, bread, and coffee each month.
Through the Food Box Distribution Program, the Rescue Mission provides 1,000 food boxes monthly to low-income and homeless families in Orange County. Each food box is capable of feeding a family of 4 for a week.
