National Volunteer Week-

April 9, 2014

This week is National Volunteer Week.

Why does volunteering receive recognition on a national level?

Because when we take action together we encourage both individuals and our respective communities to be at the center of social change. Together we discover and actively demonstrate the collective power to make a difference.

Its important to inspire and encourage one another to seek out imaginative ways to engage in our community to enhance the standards of our society. It’s about demonstrating to the nation that by working together, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals.

I wanted to recognize the Rescue Mission community of volunteers that already faithfully service with us and also encourage you to envision yourself in one of these roles in coming alongside the least, last and lost seeking ways to elevate them to a restored life.

Contact Melissa, our volunteer coordinator and get involved today!
