It’s National Volunteer Week!-

April 22, 2022

I am happy to be among the nonprofit leaders who call attention to volunteer service, especially during National Volunteer Week. “National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to recognize the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society’s greatest challenges, to build stronger communities and be a force that transforms the world.” (Points of Light https://www.pointsoflight.org/nvw/)

Volunteering is a two-way endeavor that benefits both our organization and the volunteers. They tangibly support the Least, the Last, and the Lost of our community with their valuable time and skills. And at Orange County Rescue Mission, we give volunteers a quality experience.

If you are looking for a way to join a force that can help transform the world, we have a place for you (or your group!) at Orange County Rescue Mission! There are various ways to get involved. Check out our volunteer page to learn more. Thank you for considering to spend your volunteer time with us.

We especially need help from female volunteers with our children’s program. The kids here have faced many challenges in their short lives, and they need support to become healthy and restored.
