The team of individuals that serves at the Orange County Rescue Mission is critical in how well we champion our cause.
We are seeking to fill a Controller position on our Accounting team to assist in the crucial and highly accountable task of handling our finances.
This job is not merely handling expenses and budgeting, we hope to add an individual to our team that first and foremost desires to serve in a ministry environment. Summary Directs financial activities of an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Education and/or Experience
Master’s degree (M. A.) in Accounting or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Great Plains Accounting software; Medical Database Software; Excel. spreadsheets and Word Processing software.
