What do hiking, tennis, and rocket launching have to do with homelessness? How about offering all of these summer camp perks to kids who have come off the streets and are being equipped to break future generations of homelessness?
Concordia University faculty and students are regulars at Village of Hope campus faithfully tutoring, mentoring and guiding the kids at the Orange County Rescue Mission, as if they were their own family.
This friendship with Concorida is special, but it is especially special in the summer. When school is out, several Concordia students and staff dedicate time around the clock to create an educational and memorable experience for OCRM kids.
