We greatly appreciate the fact that our volunteers partner together with us to complete our mission statement which is to minister the love of Jesus to the least, the last, and the lost of Orange County through the provision of assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, and health care.

Volunteer Leaders	Do have a passion for volunteers and leadership skills? We are looking for leaders to participate in a newly created team to coordinate and lead groups of volunteers. Electricians, Plumbers & Carpenters	Use your skills to help the Village of Hope. The Village of Hope will provide transitional housing for 192 men, women and children. More details...	Times vary dependent on current needs.
Security Patrol	Observant, tactful but firm? Please help us to keep the facilities and grounds at the Village of Hope safe and secure by providing security support. Must be Livescanned.	Monday-Sunday, 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Donation Drivers	If you are reliable and have a good driving record, then you may enjoy picking up donations of food items from local businesses and restaurants and dropping them off at our warehouse. Another duty may be to do errands such as picking up diapers or other needed supplies for the case managers.	Varies
Office Help	Do you have experience of office support work, or would you like to gain some? You can provide crucial support in our busy but friendly office by answering phones, easy filing and other straightforward clerical tasks.	Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Culinary Assistant	Do you have experience in the kitchen and need a place to put your cooking skills to use? Whatever your level, we will be pleased if you can assist in our sometimes hectic but always fun kitchens by preparing a variety of meals for our residents. Student Escorts	We need your help if you are willing to escort our residents by car to a variety of off-site appointments and ensure that they arrive safely at their destination. Must be Live scanned Must have proof of insurance	Varies
Case Management Support	If you are methodical and well-organized you might like to help with our Case Management with their day-to-day duties. You would also be providing clerical support, such as typing, filing and routine follow-up work. Must be Livescanned.	Varies
Adult Tutor	Calling all teachers and those with patience and teaching ability. Put your teaching skills to maximum use by helping our adult students gain confidence and independence as they master the learning requirements for their GED's. Must be Livescanned	Varies depending on need.
Meal Service	Are you looking for a more hands-on way to serve the residents? Join us in one of our meal services at the Village of Hope as we serve 3 nutritious meals a day.	Breakfast: 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM Lunch: 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Dinner: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Adult Tutor	Provide instruction primarily in math (algebra and geometry) to assist mothers in attaining their high school graduation equivalency diplomas (G.E.D.). More details...	Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, or 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A three month commitment is required.

Group Projects

Vacation Bible School: House of Hope or Village of Hope	Church groups are needed who would be willing to select a week during summer vacation, Christmas vacation, or Easter break, to organize and run a VBS-type event for the children.	Time is flexible. There are several weeks to choose from during the summer, aside from summer school, so there are lots of opportunities!
Painting Projects: House of Hope or Village of Hope	Great team building activity! We are in need of groups and individuals to help with painting projects at our various facilities.	The commitment can be one-time only or we can place you and/or your group on a list and contact you as these projects become available.
Double R Ranch Volunteer Workdays	Join with us in one of our monthly Volunteer Workdays where you can contribute to the healing of youth and young adults through hands on involvement. Warehouse	A great group project that will help us maintain our warehouse by sorting, packing food and clothing.	Times are flexible and dependent on the warehouse needs.
Weekly Shopper	Do you enjoy hunting down a good bargain? If so, perhaps you would like to spend a little time each week shopping for groceries and donating them to the House of Hope? This only takes a small commitment but it means so much for our residents.	Varies
Family BBQ	Do you love to BBQ or grill out? Bring and prepare a BBQ for our families living in the transitional housing program. This would make an excellent family or group volunteer project.	Varies
Heart for Hunger Food Drives	We need help for just a few hours one Saturday per month, to stand in front of grocery stores and help us collect food donations to pack into our food boxes. Fun for young and old alike and great for families and work teams!	First Saturday of every month 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Pack-O-Ramas	Why not come along and join in one of our Pack-O-Ramas and see how many food boxes you can pack for the hungry of Orange County? It's not a race, and whatever you can do will be a massive help to those without food.	Varies
