Volunteer Opportunities

OperationOC is a volunteer-driven organization. Volunteer leaders coordinate our programs and staff them with a trained volunteer workforce. To provide hope and help to those hurting after a disaster, we need YOU! Thank you for your joining with us to minister the love of Jesus to those hurting after a disaster.

To get started, just follow these three steps:

  1. View the opportunities below to see where you might best serve.
  2. Sign up for the Volunteer Orientation.
  3. Visit our Volunteer Registration page, print and fill out Registration Form and bring to the Orientation.

Unique Challenges, Different Needs

Each disaster presents its own unique challenges and creates different needs, and as a result, the types of volunteer help needed changes with each disaster. While we do our best to provide descriptions of the most commonly needed volunteer opportunities, please note that these are general guidelines. Volunteering in disaster response requires great flexibility!

If you are bilingual in any language, but especially Spanish, we have a great need for you! Please note any languages spoken on the Volunteer Registration Form.

Below are descriptions of volunteer positions often filled in a disaster. Please note that all positions require that you complete a Livescan background check, at no cost to you, through the Orange County Rescue Mission.
