In August of 1996, OCRM leadership met with architects and design volunteers at the Newport Beach offices of Gensler Architects. It was here that the vision and values that would lay the foundation for the Village of Hope were discussed. Then, various design styles such as “Mission” and “Village” were offered as possibilities for the motif that would best convey the “heart” of the project.
