Mission
Our Mission is to minister the love of Jesus Christ to the Least, the Last and the Lost through the provision of assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, and health care.
Values
Our Values are: Inspiration of Hope in those we serve. Excellence in everything we do. Leadership centered on servant hood. Respect for each person as an individual. Integrity and accountability. Moving our clients toward self-sufficiency. Commitment to spiritual, emotional, social & vocational growth. Maintaining an environment that fosters teamwork and trust
Target Population
Mustard Seed Ranch serves a variety of people from kids to adults. Our day programs are geared toward children 12-18 years old who may live in group homes or foster care. We also provide residential care for adults from OCRM’s New Life Program. A growing focus is for “transitional young adults” 18-30 years old, who spend one year using “Wild at Heart” principals to help them “get their hearts back.”
Philosophy
MSR is a “Wild at Heart” experience utilizing the curriculum of Scripture, Ransomed Heart literature and time-proven community life in an individualized, goal oriented treatment plan. Pastoral care is provided on a real working ranch in a nurturing environment. Educational, vocational, and spiritual needs are addressed in a setting promoting physical well being. MSR treats the whole person as they get their heart back.
Methods

MSR uses a Christ-centered approach with individual needs in mind. There is no “one size fits all” method for helping diverse populations. Horses are a big part of MSR’s programs. Exercises designed to develop relationships and trust while working with horses are a major component of the day programs for group homes. Residents of MSR provide the daily care for the horses and other animals. A dining commons provides fellowship in a family setting. Chapel services and group counseling combine with Wild at Heart concepts to provide a balance of ministry to the spirit, mind, and body.
